makeChange aligns with existing curricula to enable teachers and students to achieve required curricular outcomes while being inspired to make a difference in the world. The Program enhances curriculum, without an “add-on”.
The Senior Years Program is structured for flexibility across the senior school years and connects to different grades in different provinces/territories. With the exception of the posters included in the materials, the Activating Tools, Activating Strategies and Applying Strategies are consistent in each Senior Years Program. The Acquiring Strategies change in each level, and are themed as follows:
- Senior Years makeChange 1 - "My Place in Canada"
- Senior Years makeChange 2 - "A Place to Call Home"
- Senior Years makeChange 3 - "A Place on the Streets"
- Senior Years makeChange 4 - "My Place in the World"
Please explore the Senior Years makeChange 2 Teacher Guide to assist you.
Quebec has a unique grade structure, and the curricula among Atlantic Provinces vary. For these provinces, please consider the information above to identify the Program level appropriate for your needs. Otherwise, the chart below can help you.
